Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Legart website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Legart (“ Legart”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, or by clicking to accept these Terms where that option is made available, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, in which case “you” refers to that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Legart provides legal-technology software, including AI-assisted tools for drafting, reviewing, summarizing, and managing legal documents and workflows. The Service is a tool intended to support legal and business professionals. We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
2. Not a Law Firm; No Legal Advice
Legart is a legal-technology company and is not a law firm or a provider of legal services. Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Legart. The Service, including any AI-generated output, does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for the advice or judgment of a qualified, licensed attorney. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make and any documents you produce, file, or rely upon, and you should obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.
3. AI-Generated Output
The Service uses artificial intelligence and large language models to generate output based on the inputs you provide. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise unsuitable for your particular circumstances, and it may not reflect the most current law in any jurisdiction. You must independently review, verify, and validate all output before relying on it. You acknowledge that similar or identical output may be generated for other users and that output is not guaranteed to be unique to you.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If the Service requires an account, you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:
(a) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) upload or process content you do not have the right to use; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code, except to the extent permitted by law; (e) use the Service to build a competing product or to train a competing model; (f) introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service; or (g) use the Service to generate unlawful, infringing, harmful, or deceptive content.
6. Customer Content
“Customer Content” means the data, documents, and other materials you submit to the Service. As between you and Legart, you retain all rights in your Customer Content. You grant Legart a limited license to host, process, and use Customer Content solely to provide and maintain the Service and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit Customer Content and for its lawful use.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and trademarks, is owned by Legart or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, no rights are granted. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, and as between the parties, you own the output generated specifically for you from your inputs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or interoperate with third-party services and models. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their separate terms. Legal services, where offered in connection with the Service, are provided by independent, separately engaged providers and not by Legart.
9. Fees
Certain features of the Service may require payment of fees. Applicable fees, billing terms, and refund conditions will be presented to you before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable and exclusive of taxes.
10. Confidentiality and Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect Customer Content. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be accurate or reliable.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legart and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Legart for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you have paid nothing, one hundred (100) units of the applicable currency.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legart and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Term and Termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the rights granted to you will cease, and the provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Legart is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us through the contact form on our website or at the contact details published there.
